“The Dental Health Centre is proactive about preventing problems down the line and this is very important to me.” Robyn Buckle, Lincoln
I have always looked after my teeth and visited the dentist regularly but I was very disappointed with the care from my NHS dentist. I’d paid for a lot of dental work over the years but it was always as if they were fighting fires. Colin Sutton at The Dental Health Centre is proactive and he aims to prevent problems not just fix them.
I’m 40 and have a healthy diet but I was in constant pain. I couldn’t eat certain foods like nuts and cereal and every time my cap came off they would just stick it back on, rather than taking the time to fit it properly. My capped front tooth was a different shape and colour to the rest and this had a knock on effect. I was finding that it was affecting my confidence.
At my first appointment Dr Sutton carried out a very thorough examination and took control of the situation. I have had to have considerable work done and it’s been a long haul but I am out of pain now, it’s fantastic.
I have a customer-facing job, so it’s very important that I feel confident with my smile. I am very, very happy with the results – my teeth look brilliant now!
The combination of being very thorough, having excellent dental equipment and preventing problems has made my move to The Dental Health Centre so worthwhile. I’ll never go back to the NHS – this is money well spent as far as I’m concerned. The Dental Health Centre is proactive about preventing problems down the line and this is very important to me.
The team is fantastic and they know who I am. I’m not just a number here and although Dr Sutton is very busy, I can always get a convenient appointment. You get a very personal service – you really do get what you pay for. Joining this practice was absolutely the right thing for me to do.

Its great to get positive feedback and I am delighted that you are happy with your experience at the Dental Health Centre. Unfortunately, your experience is not unusual and I frequently see referred NHS patients for consultations for Implants, Cosmetic Work and Braces. Frequently there is a significant amount of repair work to do, just to make them dentally fit, before we can look at the more advanced treatments. I believe the NHS system as it stands is broken, and too many patients are getting fobbed of with “patch up dentistry”. More and more patients are waking up to this and seeking out private dental care that we can offer at the Dental Health Centre. Are you concerned about your dental health? Then book an appointment with the Dental Health Centre now and experience private dentistry.
