The General Dental Council is the dental professions regulatory body of which all dental professionals must have a registration number and an annual practicing certificate

The Dental Surgeons

Mr Colin Sutton BDS (63906) 

Mr Sutton qualified in Birmingham in 1988. He came to Grantham to first work in general dental practice as an associate before starting The Dental Health Centre in August 1995.  He worked in the Orthodontic department at Grantham Hospital for 7 years, first with orthodontic consultant Mr F Calvert and more recently with his successor Miss JR Kotyla the current consultant orthodontist.

Since starting this practice he has strived to provide a service based on clinical excellence and has completed numerous advanced courses to help him in this aim. He worked with Paul Tipton over 2 years to complete his restorative theory and practical courses, and over 1 year with Cemal Ucer to complete his dental implant training. Over 200 implants have now been successfully placed by Mr Sutton since he started providing dental implant treatments in 2001

Mr David Allen BDS (74702)

Mr Allen qualified in 1998 from Sheffield and immediately joined The Dental Health Centre.  Having worked in Grantham for 10 years as a dental technician he was keen to return to his roots. He has also completed numerous courses most recently working with Paul Tipton to complete his 1 year restorative dental course. More recently Mr Allen has completed his advanced restorative course again with Paul Tipton.

Dr Roberto Fontana Dip Dent (82810)

Dr Fontana no longer works at the Dental Health Centre. We are in the process of recruiting a replacement to care for his patients.

Dental Hygienist

Ms Julie Stewart

What a great team member.  Before joining us Julie trained in the RAF, where she worked for 14 years before joining Boots.  Julie has a lot of experience to offer the practice and is very dedicated to her profession.  Julie at present in only working 2 days a week with us so that she can study 3 days a week at Bristol Dental School to become a Dental Therapist. She will be back to 3 days a week from April.

Ms Diane Mckeown

Another great team member who has lots of experience and works with a caring understanding of patient's needs. She joined the team in September 2005

Practice Manager 

  Paula Ward

Paula is doubly qualified as a Registered Dental Nurse as well as certified Dental Practice Manager. Paula is an invaluable member of the team and is responsible for the general smooth running of the practice. Patients embarking on more complex treatments like smile makeovers or dental implant find her a great resource. She is also the orthodontic waiting list coordinator.
